Delivery and Installation
We supply fully prepared, numbered green oak frame kits ready for erection. Here is how the process works from order to completed frame.
What is Included in Your Kit
Every oak frame kit includes all the structural timber components needed to erect the frame: posts, beams, rafters, braces, and all associated ironmongery and fixings. Each piece is cut to size, numbered, and supplied with a corresponding assembly plan so your builder knows exactly where each component goes. Nothing is left to guess.
Optional extras available with your kit include saddle stones, oak garage doors, softwood and cedar door options, access doors, window framework, floor joists, and internal dividing wall studwork. These can all be added when you configure your order.
Lead Times
From confirmed order to delivery, allow 8 to 14 weeks as a guide. Standard frames toward the shorter end; larger or more complex bespoke builds toward the longer end. We will give you a confirmed lead time when you place your order and update you if anything changes.
Delivery
We deliver throughout Kent, the South East, and across the UK. Delivery is by flatbed lorry or curtainsider, depending on the size of the frame. Access for the delivery vehicle is something to consider early — if your site has restricted access, let us know when you order and we can plan accordingly.
Delivery costs are calculated based on your location and the size of your order. We will confirm the delivery charge as part of your quote.
Installation — What You Need to Arrange
We supply the frame; erection is carried out by your own builder, groundworker, or a specialist oak frame erector. Most competent builders can erect a standard oak frame kit without specialist equipment, particularly for single or double garage sizes. Larger or more complex frames may benefit from a crane or telehandler for the heavier members.
Before delivery you will need:
- A prepared base — concrete slab or strip foundation to the correct dimensions
- Access cleared for the delivery vehicle
- A space to temporarily store the frame components if they are not being erected immediately
Finding an Erector
If you do not have a builder lined up, we can recommend experienced oak frame erectors in Kent and the South East who are familiar with our kit format. Contact us and we will put you in touch.
